February rains.

There was one last stinking hot weekend. Mum and I joined the night kayak group from church and kayaked from Maitland to Morpeth on Saturday night in an inflatable double kayak, which was so much easier than solo in my heavy fat one. The whole exercise was a lot more pleasant than I expected. I think I saw microbats.

I visited Lucy and Julia gave me the experience of waking her up. She wakes up very cute. Until she opened her eyes and realised I wasn't her mum and then cried! But that was the only cry I heard that day, she is quite placid. Made french toast for breakfast before we went to Singleton church which was really good, and they also have air con which is amazing. I had a rest in the arvo and then went to night church, but thankfully a cool change came and Lucy also came which was a lovely double bonus as I got more cuddles.

Other good news, I've been picking and eating eggplants! Such beautiful vegetables and no pest problems. Would replant.

The regular rain has repaired my dead lawn a bit and given all the plants that didn't die a huge burst of growth. I am training my jasmine further along the fences and I think they are close to joining, hopefully this year.

And my climbing roses have reached the height of the pergola! Soon I can start training them across the top! This was my life goal this summer, have roses up the top.

I also installed hooks in the bathroom and moved some plants in there from office etc. It is quite glamorous (this is on a cloudy day, normally its brightly lit). Going for a jungle bath.

On to social activities! I have been watching the extended Lord of the Rings with Kristy, one disc a night some Fridays. This is some Aldi pizza and garlic bread displayed like a pizza grazing table. So fancyyy.

A birthday event at Telarah RSL for 80s to the Max. Would repurchase, good dancing music, need myself a ruffle skirt.

I left early though, because that is my rule now, leave everything at 9pm, but also to see the Maitland Show fireworks from the car on the drive home. Classic FM and fireworks on a quiet street near the park. Fireworks are one of my joys.

Finally, I ended the month with a dinner with a new and old church friend, and a Classical concert in Maitland, and another birthday high tea at Heritage Gardens.

On to work shenanigans. We set up a cosy breakout spot on the construction site. And the next day we had a big chuck out of the junk mountain.

Then we had the diverting fun of choosing between grey grey grey and grey carpet tiles. We chose the darkest grey.

This has been the coolest (although humid) Feb in years! So I have been getting back into lunchtime walks, even once in the rain, which was joyful. My Jillian workouts are not quite as frequent and I'm often tired so its good to be able to walk outside with the nice weather, for health and energy. Everything is green and the lagoons are full, quite lovely.

A bridesmaid dress has been chosen for JK wedding. I also designed the invite.

Had myself a day off this Wednesday! Just because I've been working all month heh. And work is a bit quiet so good to use the flex time. I did some reading and writing at home, and because I did have to leave the house to get my veggie box in Maitland I went to the art gallery.

There was a nice brief rain shower and I sheltered under a tree at the levee.

And had dinner with a couple of gal pals from church.

On Friday I had an excursion in the afternoon to just take some photos and stuff of a crop of corn get harvested at the dairy, and some students learning things.

Had a fancy italian dinner with other pals, and saw a string ensemble perform the 4 seasons and some other music.

Saturday morning saw another high tea at heritage gardens and lovely conversations, I bought a couple of punnets of cheap seedlings for my garden - more and more geraniums going in to my wall garden. Trying some IVY geraniums, they trail down, will see how they go. I also did my 3rd Centr workout for the week! They are under 20 minutes, this one was quite hard so I am very tired today.

Have still been more tired lately, but have also not been super disciplined with the sugar free diet, but am now more strict again, no birthday cake or wine or morning teas allowed. Try and get good results again. Unless its just the fluctuations of RA and hence just have to live with it. I took quite a few ibuprofen last week, but feeling a lot better this week. I also need to get my iron checked again because that's always a thing, but I am taking iron tablets.

I continue to feel bored with my life as well. Everything is in maintenance mode. Plodding my way through the big jobs that load me up in the first half of the year. I've pretty much sorted the core band members for Women of Truth in May, and also kept the organisation rolling for my part of the Tocal Field Days also in May. I've just decided to drop the Field Days role for next year . Me and S hoped that this year would be easier than last year but no. Maybe I don't work well in teams. So I think realising that is a good thing, I had felt that I should keep doing the job as part of my communications role, and make it a smooth running efficient event, but now that I've realised that it's still stuck in it's current stressful unmanageable form and nobody else wants that to change, I'm going to pass it on, and someone else can start from scratch and deal with it. And that will free up my energy in years to come, so I'll keep doing the band, and that's one of my dilemmas solved!

Still no Netflix. I have enjoyed podcasts about cults, internet security and culture, and investment scams, and also the corona virus. For example, Reply All, The Dropout, WeCrashed, The Dream S2, and the Missing Crypto Queen.

Re: bored with life. Hang in there, friend! Perhaps you can come to the Melbourne Comedy Festival and see a show with me? I can put you up for accommodation! Bei-En x
